Position Title: Account Payment Assistant 

Location: Queen’s Arcade, Belfast, BT1 5FE

Reports to: Finance Manager 

Direct Reports: None

Hours of Work: Part Time 25 hours 

 

Role Specification

Role Purpose:

To maintain the purchaser ledger and other functions within the finance department, as required.

Role Scope:

Working within the Finance department.

 Area of Responsibility: Purchase Ledger

Key Activities:

  • Responsibility for all accounts payable duties including overhead invoice postings and nominal ledger coding
  • Assisting with month end close off
  • Preparation of monthly BACS runs
  • Processing of miscellaneous payments
  • Preparation of monthly credit card reconciliation
  • Reconciling foreign currency payments
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers
  • Assist with year-end audit

 Area of Responsibility: Invoicing Admin

Key Activities:

  • Ensuring all invoices are signed off as required
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure invoices are received in a timely manager for processing by Finance
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely payment of invoices

  •  A minimum of 2 years current experience in an AP environment
  • Experience in nominal ledger postings
  • Experience in processing supplier payment runs
