At any given moment, the wearer can admire the precise configuration of the night sky in the northern hemisphere, with the apparent motion of the stars and the phases and orbit of the moon faithfully reproduced. Two skeletonised hands elegantly indicate mean solar time. An Ellipse, delicately applied to the underside of the sapphire crystal, delineates the portion of the sky visible from Geneva and other cities situated at the same latitude.
