The name 'Lunn' is derived from the Old Norse word ‘Lund’, which translates as 'Grove' in English.

'Grove' meaning a small wood, evokes thoughts of natural splendour, a place where beauty ebbs and flows through the seasons. From all of these moments, we drew inspiration to create our exclusive Grove Collection. This year, we delved deeper into history, myth and the natural world to present:

The Heritage Collection by Lunn’s celebrates the artistry of fine jewellery and the rich tapestry of the Irish landscape. Building upon the inaugural Grove Collection, these pieces celebrate the essence of nature, folklore, and our family’s heritage.

Each piece is a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship that has been the hallmark of Lunn’s for over seventy years. The designs are each uniquely inspired by Irish folklore, ancient symbols, and the timeless beauty of the natural world around us, ensuring that each creation is not only a piece of jewellery but a piece of our history.

Myth and Wisdom

Ruadhán may mean “little red one” in Gaelic, but Rowan trees are often regarded as nature’s guardians. In Celtic mythology, Rowans are known as the ‘Tree of Life’ and are associated with protection, courage, and strength in adversity. In Autumn, the Rowan transforms into a spectacular display of crimson clusters that seem to glow triumphantly against the changing Irish landscape.

This exceptional ring embodies the strength and presence of an Irish Rowan. The essence of the Rowan's brilliant berries are represented by an exceedingly rare, vivid red cushion cut Ruby. This unique Pigeon blood ruby is cradled between two perfectly matched heart-shaped diamonds, a nod to the traditional Celtic myth and the tree's protective symbolism.

Warm yellow gold claws enhance the ruby's luminous depth, while delicate diamond detail on the bezel adds further sparkle to the luxurious platinum band.

A magnificent 1.60ct cushion cut Ruby radiates passion and intensity in this luxurious composition.

The design is dramatically enhanced by perfectly matched heart cut diamonds totalling 2.01cts on either side. Subtle sparkle on the bezel nods to traditional Celtic myth and ancient symbolism featuring 50 brilliant cut diamonds of 0.23ct weight.

The Pigeon Blood ruby is accentuated by warm 18ct yellow gold claws which contrast beautifully with the whole ring's bright platinum setting.
